Commander (retired) Edmund Johnstone, O.B.E., R.N. (13 April, 1892 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of a clergyman.

On 8 July 1913, Johnstone was admitted to Haslar with "gonorrhoe".

Johnstone was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 November, 1914.

Post-War

Johnstone was appointed Lieutenant in Command of the destroyer Osiris on 6 December, 1918.[1]

Retired at own request 7 June, 1920.

Johnstone was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 15 November, 1922.

World War II

Johnstone was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 8 May, 1946.
