Captain (retired) Cyril Thomas Hewlett-Cooper, R.N. (9 January, 1876 – 22 March, 1939) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Reverend W. H. Cooper was born in Brighton.
Hewlett-Cooper was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1897.
Hewlett-Cooper was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1909.
Hewlett-Cooper was appointed in command of the Aquarius on 6 March, 1913.[1]
Post-War
Hewlett-Cooper was appointed in command of the monitor Marshal Soult on 15 January, 1919.[2]
Placed on the Retired List upon his relief on 1 October, 1920 with permission to accept the post of Captain of the Port, Tanganyika.
Hewlett-Cooper was promoted to the rank of Captain on 9 January, 1921.
