Commander Frank Percival Busbridge, O.B.E., D.S.C., R.N., Retired (20 August, 1891 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of F. G. Busbridge, paper manufacturer.
Busbridge was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 April, 1914.
He spent two years in H 5 before being appointed in command of C 18 in May, 1917. On 15 July, 1918, he was appointed to R 2, to assume command upon her commissioning.
Post-War
Busbridge was appointed Lieutenant in Command (temporary) of the submarine L 16 on 17 September, 1920.[1]
Busbridge was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 April, 1922.
Busbridge was appointed in command of H.M.S. Hornet, the former C.M.B. 102 which was now a C.M.B. base at Haslar, on 15 October, 1928. He served there until 15 January, 1931.
Busbridge was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 16 October, 1934.
