Lieutenant Guy Kemble Twiss, R.N. (4 September, 1888 – 24 June, 1917) served in the Royal Navy and was killed when his destroyer was mined in the English Channel in 1917.
He was the son of Vice-Admiral Guy Ouchterlony Twiss.
Life & Career
Twiss was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1911.
Twiss was appointed in command of the Tribal Class destroyer Tartar on 4 June, 1917 and was killed, along with forty-two other men, when Tartar struck a mine in the Channel. His service record notes his date of death as 17 June, but others seem to indicate 24 June.
