H.M.S. M 1 was one of four submarines of the "M" class, and the only one completed in time to see service during the war.

Service

In late 1920, submarines M 1, M 2 and M 3 were allocated to submarine reserve group "C" at Portsmouth, under the collective command of Commander Hubert Vaughn Jones and tender to Dolphin.[6]
