Lieutenant Harry Albert Bumpus, (27 October, 1871 – 27 October, 1948) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Bumpus was promoted to the rank of Acting Boatswain on 1 May, 1899.[1]

On 3 March, 1911, he was made Bosun of Cyclops, remaining in that post for one year.[2]

Bumpus was promoted to the rank of Chief Boatswain on 1 May, 1914.[3]

Bumpus was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant as he retired on 12 August, 1922.[4]

Bumpus died of chronic myocardial degeneration on his seventy-seventh birthday, having lost his wife twelve years previously, in 1936.[5]
