Admiral SIR Arthur Murray Farquhar, K.C.B., M.V.O., Royal Navy (19 January, 1855 – 16 November, 1937) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Early Life & Career

On 20 December, 1889, Farquhar was appointed to the Ajax, additional, for the Highlands and Islands Commission.[1]

Flag Rank

Farquhar succeeded Rear-Admiral Inglefield in command of the Fourth Cruiser Squadron on 8 February, 1909.[2]

On 12 February, 1912 he was appointed to a Signal Course.[3]

Farquhar was promoted to the rank of Admiral dated 14 September, 1914.[4] He was placed on the Retired List on 9 June, 1916.[5]
