Frederick George Stopford ( – ) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Stopford was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December 1897.

In April 1901, he assumed command of the second class protected cruiser Talbot.[1][2]

As Captain, he was placed in command of Royal Naval Barracks, Chatham on 5 July, 1904.[3] (Commodore, Second Class from 13 March, 1905.)[4]

Stopford retired on 10 May, 1907.
